Why are Rain Forests Important

There are many reasons that makes rain forests important, this kind of forests is very important to the world in general. I will introduce for you some of the pricipal reasons that makes rain forests so important. The first one, Genetic regards potential, because of the many kinds of plants, insects, and other animals that lives there. Some of these organisms contains genetic information in their ADN ( I took this information from the internet:  Genetics. deoxyribonucleic acid: an extremely long macromoleculethat is the main component of chromosomes and is the material thattransfers genetic characteristics in all life forms, constructed of twonucleotide strands coiled around each other in a ladderlikearrangement with the sidepieces composed of alternating phosphateand deoxyribose units and the rungs composed of the purine andpyrimidine bases adenine, guanine, cytosine, and thymine: thegenetic information of DNA is encoded in the sequence of the basesand is transcribed as the strands unwind and replicate) that provides an opportunity to create new medicines or products that can be usefull for us, in other words some of these organisms keep a secret in their ADN. We only need study more deep these organisms in order to find answers.

Another reason that make rainforests important refers to the capacity of the rainforest in keep the weather warm, some experts said that if the rainforests disappear probably the world temperature will increase, in other words the rainforest is essential to keep the temperature constant.

Finally, the last reason is one of the principal reasons and regards to water, rainforests exist in regions with a lot of water ( it is very commom find big rivers in these regions, like Amazon River in Brazil ). So, we can use this water for example to produce energy by hydroelectric system or use to transport products and people, but we need use rainforests without destruction the florest, in other words we need work sustainably.

Ebola Virus Disease

The 2014 Ebola epidemic is the largest in history, affecting multiple countries in West Africa. Although the risk of an Ebola outbreak in the United States is very low, all the international comunity start be very carefull with the risk of the Ebola epidemic affect others countries and make more victims.

Now the Ebola epidemic virus arrived in USA, according with report of some health authorities. Now all the world are watch what types of attitudes the USA will use in order to block Ebola epidemic.

The Ebola virus can affect people by three ways, the first one occur when people stay in contact with animals that contains naturely the virus. The second way, happend with people that mantain directly contact with another person that is contaminated with the virus. The last way to be affect by the virus is when people carry someone that dies because of the ebola.

When people are with the Ebola virus, they must be hospitalized and isolated as fast we can, this is the unique way to prevent the Ebola virus becomes be a global epidemic and also we have to look carefully people that supposed were in contact with this people that were affects by the virus.

In conclusion all of the international community needs work together in order to solved the Ebola epidemic, we need work together and be very fast in order to avoid the worst.

Changing Habits

Unfortunately, my friend went to the doctor in order to make some clinical examinations, looking for some informations about his healtly and the doctor after a week call my friend to come to the hospital as fast as possible. When my friend came there, doctor said that my friend healthys was in risk, because of his cholesterol ( His cholesterol was in high level, being so dangerous to his health ).

After that, I decided help my friend and help my healty in the same time, because I clonclued that I always ate the same kind of food as my friend usually ate and I am either did not take physical activities in my days. So I start many changes in my way of life with my friend, I will show some of this ideas for you.

First, we start to eat healty food ( Vegetables, fresh fruits, and fish) instead of junk-food. In 4 weeks we felt more good with ourselves and we lost 7 kilograms. This beginning was not easy, we needed said no in many situations, like say no to our friends when they invited us to go eat pizza, hamburguer, and others junk foods.

At the same time, we start to do physical exercise, like run and go to the gym.Six months after that, we were able to run a marathon, this make us so proud about our potential. We can see ourselves that we are able to change our habits in order to have a good life. Now my friend has a good cholesterol, that no more offers risk to his healthy.

Biotechnology and Our Future.

Studies showed that the world population in 2050 probably will be about 9,6 billion of people by report of United Nations, some experts starts to discuss if the world will be able to support so many people. For some experts the answers for this important question fortunately is yes.

But, how is this possible ? By the view of some experts the unique way to solve this problem is working with biotechnology, especially with genetic recombination ( The biotechnological technique to change the ADN of some plants, animals, and bacterias ). That way provides an opportunity to create new genetics varieties, when we do that we can create species that would be able to produce more or be able to defend off diseases and pests.

This is also so important for the environment, because when we use new genetics varieties of some species we do not need more use pesticides in order to kill pests ( This kind of substances is very dangerous for the environment, because pollute water and can causes cancer in human ).

 But the most important point that biotechnology will solved is about the question that envolved this point: How many hectare will be necessary to provide food for 9,6 billion of people ? For some experts, without biotechnology techniques will be impossible to provide food in this situation, because with biotechnology we can produce more in the same area.

As we can see maybe biotechnology  will be one of the ways to provide food for our world with 9,6 billion of people,

Look Like You

Some research showed that dogs look like their owners. This theory was published by one International Society that studies the relationship between human and animals, and with others research that was already made for some experts this theory becomes more and more strong.

The research of International Society happend in this way : 373 people needed look the eyes of 20 dogs and choose a owners for these dogs, Based only in a relation between these eyes, surprisingly 80% of the participants asnwered correctly.

Another study done for the Nacional Center of Biotechnology in USA, showed that the dogs probably be physically affected for the comportament of their owners. In other words,  the lifesytle of the owners affect the dogs physically. It is not a surprising, this was to be expected. For example, If someone has sendentarios habits, probably the dog will be fat. Because the owner of the dog probably will not go out with the dog.

This subject is not new in the USA. In 1999, a group of experts made analysis in order to find equal characteristics beteewen women and their dogs. They found that women that had a long hair had a dog with drop ears and in the other point, women with short hair had a dog with pointy ears ( Like Siberian husky and akita ).

 Joining these studies, give us the conclusion that without thinking people chooses their dogs unconsciously. People look for similar  physically characteristics in their dogs. But exist controversy, because some people do not believe that they look like their dogs.

Terrible rainstorm.

       I will talk about a rainstorm that happened in Brazil in January, twelve, 2011. This terrible nutural event happend in some cities of the Rio de Janeiro state, but before start this history I need introduce for you some characteristics of this region. This region in Brazil called " Região Serrana do Rio de Janeiro '', in others words it is a region composed by chain of mountains, I think now it is more easy for you understanding what occured in this cities of Rio de Janeiro state.

        In Terezopólis, Nova Friburgo and Petropólis ( Cities of Rio de Janeiro State ) rained in two days the expected for the all month of January. When this rainstorm arrived in these cities, many people lived near or in mountains; so unfortunately landslip happend. A lot of people reported seeing streets turn into rivers and houses disappeared in the middle of mixture of water and earth.

        About 257 people died in this terrible event, and many familes had your house damaged from the rainstorm. The goverment of Brazil created a emergency program in order to help this people, about 758 millions of Reais ( The name of the money in Brazil ) were spent to provide now houses or fixed many problens in these cities.

Sweet Animal from Desert

The Fennec Fox live in Northern Africa, we can find the Fennec Fox in the Sahara Desert, the Sinai Peninsula and the Arabian Peninsula. This animal usually include in your diet lizards, birds and bird eggs, rodents and vegetation such as berries. When we look the appearance the Fennec Fox it is easy deduce that this animal belongs to the Canidae Family ( This family include foxes, wolves, coyotes and dogs ). But the Fennec Fox is the smallest of the Canidae Family, the averages about 15 inches in lenght, and it can weigh 3 to 3.5 pounds.

 Look the large ears again the Fennec Fox, can you imagine that this animal use his large ears to keep it cool and  also enable it to hear preys in the desert, even under the ground.

One of the most famous habits the Fennec Fox to survive in a desert is dig a burrow underground and sleep there during the hot days. Usually Fennec Foxes will have of  2-5 young.

How do you think it is possible for this animal survive with so little water ? The Fennec Fox is able to live without free water, because his kidneys are adapted to restrict water loss. They also know how to absorb water through food consumption. The Fennec Fox has some predators like varieties of eagle owl, caracals, jackals, striped hyenas and the saluki. Unfortunately, some people use Fennec Fox like a domestic dog, it is not good because this fact contributes with the extinction of this sweet animal.
